The Writer
You've got the dream: you have a story to tell and you want to share it with the world. But what does that entail, exactly? There's a little more to writing than the writing itself, and we'll give you the stuff that helps you see your book through to the final chapter. We'll define your vision and create a roadmap that enables you to hone your skills and make the most of your writing time.
The Craftsman
Writing a novel is a lot like putting together a puzzle: you need all of the pieces to complete the picture. In this case, the pieces are the basic elements of any story: Plot, Character, Setting, Point of View, and Dialogue. We'll take an in-depth look at what it takes to create a great story while learning how to hone your craft and strengthen the writing muscle, navigating the elements of your story and putting it all together.
The Storyteller
Storytelling is a gift passed down through the ages. From the spoken word to the written form, stories provide a means of entertainment, teach us about the world, preserve our cultural history, and, most importantly, show us who we are. We'll identify the root of your story and learn what it is you really want to say in order as we add more depth and complexity to your story, unearthing your hidden strengths.
The Developer
You've got the draft. You've done the edits. You know what it takes to make a good novel great. So what's next? If the thought of sharing your words with the world terrifies you or you don't know how to take the next step, you're not alone. Finishing a draft is a great accomplishment, but actually publishing your book can seem a bit surreal and impossible. We'll help you make the jump from writer to author.
